What is Medical Weight Loss?
Medical weight loss is a structured plan designed and supervised by healthcare professionals to help individuals achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Medical weight loss plans can be made up of a variety of components tailored to each patient including personalized diet plans, oral weight loss medications, weight loss injections and nutritional analysis. Medical weight loss approaches highlight understanding nutrition and addressing underlying health concerns, not just shedding pounds. The goal is to promote sustainable lifestyle changes and improve the overall well-being of patients, while also improving confidence and reducing the risk of obesity-related complications.
The Patient Experience
reviews
Out of the several injectors I’ve went to, Haley Outcalt is by far the most talented, knowledgeable and professional. Though I’ve gotten botox on several occasions, this was my first time getting lip injections- I was nervous and excited. My lip results are absolute perfection, they are so beautiful and natural looking.
Haley is the real deal in the esthetic industry! Her knowledge and education she gives each client is above and beyond what other injectors could even begin to provide. She takes her time to ensure her clients are clear on exactly what they can expect and if their expectations are attainable. She offers advice and alternatives for clients who are not candidates of a specific treatment whatever the reason. This type of honesty is what we all look for in the esthetic industry. Someone who looks beyond themself and their own agenda to give the client true realistic results in a safe, professional and ethical manner. Haley is superior in this arena!

The Medical Weight Loss Process
At Evolution Aesthetics, we start off each medical weight loss patient with an InBody analysis to determine basal metabolic rate (BMR), lean muscle mass, body fat percentage and accurate body mass index (BMI). In addition to InBody, a comprehensive laboratory review and physical exam will be performed. With the results and basal metabolic rate in mind, we will create each patient’s individualized nutritional analysis including the importance of macronutrients and educating how to implement these into daily meals.
Haley has curated two paths for medical weight loss programs. The first path is a comprehensive approach using medications such as compounded tirzepatide and semaglutide combined with extensive lab work, InBody analysis and medical history. The other path takes a more holistic approach. Both paths include weekly accountability check-ins and monthly office visits.

What are Macronutrients?
Macronutrients are made up of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. These essential parts of your diet can benefit the body in different ways. Carbohydrates are in foods such as bread and pasta, containing four calories per gram. Carbohydrates primarily fuel the body with energy.
Protein is found in meats and eggs, providing four calories per gram. Protein helps make muscles, hormones, and other proteins. When broken down into glucose, this provides energy to the cells. Fats are found in oils, nuts, and fish, providing nine calories per gram. Fats can also provide energy to the body once broken down into fatty acids. Depending on your goals, your macronutrient diet percentages can vary.
A TYPICAL MACRONUTRIENT DIET INCLUDES:
- 45 to 65 percent of calories from carbohydrates
- 20 to 35 percent of calories from fat
- 10 to 35 percent of calories from protein
What are Micronutrients?
Micronutrients are essential dietary elements that we consume to maintain our health. Micronutrients can include but are not limited to calcium, folate, iron, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin E, and zinc. Micronutrients benefit the body, providing you with ideal health and daily function. Deficiencies in any micronutrients can cause severe or life-threatening conditions. Micronutrients can be found in their highest amounts in fruits and vegetables.
Tracking your Nutrients
Macronutrient foods typically contain many micronutrients. A macronutrient approach to food tracking can be easier to track than a micronutrient approach. Tracking your macros can emphasize portion control by eating various foods instead of counting calories. These diets can address goals related to building muscle mass, maintaining blood sugar levels, and gaining or losing weight. Two examples of macronutrient diets include the keto diet and the low-fat diet. A keto diet is low in carbohydrates, whereas a low-fat diet is low in fat and higher in protein and carbohydrates. Tracking the amounts you eat can ensure that you follow the right path for your goals.
Tracking your diet on apps can build awareness of your daily diet and what you should aim to incorporate into it. First, you should know your goals and your body’s needs. To be aware of this, it is essential to consult with a nutritionist where you can analyze the micronutrient and macronutrient goals you should have. Tracking your macronutrients and micronutrients can teach you about the food you eat, making you more aware of your daily dietary needs.
