Microneedling sessions require 24 hours of downtime or less for patients. Bruising and visible skin irritation are very rare side effects. Redness and peeling can be a part of the skin’s healing process days after the microneedling treatment. It is essential that patients avoid saunas, exercise, swimming, steam rooms, and hot tubs for five days after the treatment to let the skin heal without irritation or excessive heat.
